Juju’s Tips is going on tour beginning the end of April through August this year. We are planning to visit family and the natural wonders in 26 states while creating many DIY projects along the way. We want to take you along on the journey, so will be posting a lot on the blog during the trip and Juju has a special surprise for all you bullet-journalers out there. She will be doing a few videos and blog posts as she works on hers, so if you don’t know what bullet journaling is or you’re interest is piqued, don’t fret, we will show you just what it is and how to get started.
Trips Within a Trip
Our journey begins and ends in Jax, FL, but many stops along the way make the 8500 miles take a few months. The plan is to meet up with more family near Yellowstone National Park in Montana in early June, but the first month is a trip of preparation, much overdue family visits, and yes you guessed it, DIY projects.
1. Boss’s RV Park
Our first stop is in Wrens, Georgia for a couple days making the roundtrip to Franklin Springs to pick up our son from college much easier. Spent a couple weeks here during a hurricane concern a couple years ago.
2. Swamp Fox Campground
From North GA, we head over to Florence, SC off I-95 to stay overnight. We’ve stayed at this really nice RV park several times on our trips northward, highly recommended!
3. Davis Lakes & Campground
Located in Suffolk, VA, Davis Lakes is truly an RV’er’s respite. We spent the whole month of December here last year and really enjoyed it. We get to spend 2 weeks here to pick up our son’s twin sister and granddaughter to accompany us on the rest of the trip as well.
4. Leatherman’s Falling Waters Campsite
Pushing northward from Virginia, we get to stop overnight at Leatherman’s in Falling Waters, West Virginia. Never been here, but they seem well-established and recommended. Interesting that they don’t do reservations, only need to call 24 hours prior to let them know we are coming.
5. Niagara Woodland Campground
Another 2-week stopover, this time in Ransomville, NY, conveniently within 1 mile from Juju’s parents’ house and many others of both our extended families all around the western NY area.
6. Elkhart Campground
A one-night stopover in the RV Capital of the World. Maybe even do an interview or tour while we’re there.
7. Beacon RV Park
Our first full week stop leading up to our meetup at Yellowstone. Beacon RV Park in St. Joseph, Missouri will be a first time visit and extended stay, hopefully both go well. Strategically located about an hour away from Missouri Star Quilting, the mecca of the quilting world, where we are going to visit briefly and maybe get an interview.
8. WYO Campground
Our journey into Wyoming has us stopping in Cheyenne overnight in this quaint RV park.
The second part to this post will highlight our meetup with more family beginning in Thermopolis, WY at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center & Dig Sites.
